Step 1

Combine 10 oz. of fondant with 1 teaspoon of Gum-Tex; tint green. Roll out fondant 1/8 in. thick. Using large leaf Cut-Out™, cut 6 or 7 leaves for each tree; cut slits in sides to form individual leaves.

Step 2

Make extras to allow for breakage and let dry on backs of cornstarch-dusted large flower formers.

Step 3

For bottom layer of leaves, pipe a tip 12 mound of royal icing on waxed paper; insert 3 or 4 leaves. Support leaves with tissue and let dry.

Step 4

For top layer, repeat process, piping mound in center of bottom layer, inserting 3 leaves in mound and supporting with tissue until dry.

Step 5

Cut end of pretzel rod level. Turn over leaf grouping and pipe a tip 12 mound; attach pretzel rod at level end; let dry.
