Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened

  • 1-1/2 cups granulated sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 cup Candy Melts Candy (any color or a combination of colors)

  • Jimmies sprinkles

  • Tools

  • 13 in. x 9 in. sheet pan

  • Cooking spray

  • Mixing bowls

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Spray 13 in. x 9 in. pan with vegetable pan spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla.
  5. Add flour mixture and mix until just combined.
  6. Stir in 1/2 cup chopped Candy Melts and sprinkles, as desired.
  7. Press mixture evenly into the prepared baking pan. Sprinkle remaining candy and sprinkles over top.
  8. Bake for 28-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out almost clean. Remove to the cooling rack and cool completely.

Notes

    • Customize colors: Customize your sugar cookie recipe with your favorite Candy Melts candy color combinations. We used white, red, orange and pink candy wafers!
    • Frosting recipe: Try our easy vanilla buttercream recipe. Just spread the buttercream frosting on completely cooled bars before topping with the remaining candy and sprinkles for an extra special treat.
