  1. Bake cake. Prepare cake batter following recipe instructions. Bake and cool two cake layers. Level, fill and stack for 4 in. high cake. Ice cake smooth.
  2. Tint icing. Tint one cup icing each spruce green, pine green, jade green, sea green and bright olive green using color combinations provided. Combine Juniper Green and Royal Blue icing colors to get spruce green color shown. Combine Royal Blue and Juniper Green icing colors to get pine green color shown. Combine Juniper Green and a touch of Royal Blue icing colors to get jade green color shown. Combine Moss Green, Sky Blue and Lemon icing colors to get sea green color shown. Combine Moss Green and Lemon Yellow icing colors to get bright olive green color shown. Reserve remaining icing white.
  3. Decorate cake. Prepare decorating bags separately with tips 5, 8, 12, 14, 18, 32, 2D, 101, 352, 366 and 81. Fill with desired icings, striping some bags and using solid colors in other bags.

    Using pull-out star, pull-out leaf, dot, petal, leaf and star techniques, pipe succulents around top edge of cake and along bottom edge of cake.

    Prepare decorating bag with coupler and remaining white icing. Using tip 1, pipe small dots on pull-out star cacti. Using tip 3, pipe dots around sides of cake.
