Step 1

Preheat oven to 375°F.

Step 2

In mixer bowl, cream butter, pumpkin and egg until creamy. Mix in flour, chili powder, salt and garlic powder. Mix until just combined.

Step 3

Shape dough into small logs and place in Cookie Master? Plus.

Step 4

Using desired disk, press shapes onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 12-15 minutes or until a light golden brown.

Step 5

Cool 2 minutes on cookie sheet on rack. Remove from cookie sheet and continue to cool on rack.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I was very excited to try this recipe, but it did not work well in my cookie press. I could not get it to release from the press well, so finally made long strips with the cracker disc and cut them into squares. These did not bake up well, but that might be because I tried adding pumpkin then flour trying to get better release from the press. Flavor was good, and I really like the idea. Sprinkling cookies with a little season salt or garlic salt before baking would give a little extra kick to the flavor. Would really like to try them again if I could figure out how to get the dough to work better in the press.
