  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Prepare muffin pans by placing cupcake liners in them.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, pumpkin pie spice and cinnamon. Then add in the pumpkin, water, oil and eggs.
  3. Beat the combined ingredients with an electric mixer on medium speed for about 2 minutes until the batter is smooth. Divide the cupcake batter evenly into the baking cups of 2 muffin pans.
  4. Bake for 18-to-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. Cool the cupcakes in the muffin pans for 10 minutes on a cooling grid. Remove the cupcakes from the pan and cool completely on a wire rack to room temperature before doing any decorating.
