Easy Melting Snowman Cookies

Almost too cute to eat, these Melting Snowman Cookies delight kids and adults alike. They are easy to bake, decorate, and assemble using a simple round cookie cutter, royal icing and store-bought marshmallows and pretzel twists. Place them under the tree or tuck them into stockings for a Christmas morning surprise!

  1. Prepare cookie dough following recipe instructions. Roll out dough to 1/8 in. thickness. Using round cutter, cut out cookies. Bake and cool.
  2. Make icing. Prepare royal icing following recipe instructions. Thin icing to count of 10.

    Make faces and arms of snowmen. Using Black and Orange FoodWriter markers, draw faces on marshmallows.

    Using a serrated knife, cut pretzel twists in half.

    You’ll need 1 marshmallow and 1 pretzel twist per cookie.

  3. Prepare decorating bag. Place white icing, separately, in disposable decorating bag. Cover large cookie with thinned white icing. Sprinkle edges with white nonpareils.
  4. Decorate cookies. Prepare decorating bag with thinned royal icing. Cut small hole in tip of bag. Pipe melting snowman shape on each cookie, being careful not to go over the edge of the cookie; flood in.

    Immediately sprinkle the edge of the shape with white nonpareils.

    Place marshmallows and arms on cookies.

    Use black rainbow chips for buttons.

    Let cookies dry, at least 24 hours.
