

Make it Mint Petal Flower Cake

Lemon Yellow Icing Color, 1 oz.
Kelly Green Icing Color, 1 oz.
Sky Blue Icing Color, 1 oz.
White Decorator Icing - 4.5 lb.

Pipe flowers. Prepare decorating bag with tip 104 and white icing. Using flower nail and pre-cut waxed paper squares, pipe about 20 petal flowers; transfer to waxed paper-covered board. Vary pressure to achieve flowers of various sizes.
Using Lemon Yellow icing color, ting 1/2 cup icing yellow. Prepare decorating bag with tip 8 and yellow icing. Pipe centers on flowers.
Freeze flowers until firm, about 2 to 4 hours.
- Bake cake. Prepare cake batter following recipe instructions. Bake and cool two cake layers.
Tint icing. Tint 3 1/2 cups icing light mint green using color combination provided. Fill, stack and ice cake smooth using light mint green icing.
*Combine Kelly Green and Sky Blue icing colors to get light mint green color shown.
- Decorate cake. Remove paper squares from flowers. Arrange flowers in crescent along top edge of cake. Use leftover icing, if necessary, to attach flowers.
