Pipe tall free-standing trees using an ice cream cone to form the tree. Just cover the cone with pull-out stars, then pipe colored dot ornaments or sprinkle with nonpareils and top it off with a gold star!
Create different sized trees by cutting ice cream sugar cones to the desired size. To trim, use a wet brush to dampen the wide end of the cones with water. Only dampen the part to be trimmed. Use a knife to cut along dampened line. Let the cone dry completely before decorating.
For a realistic look, pipe the tree in multiple shades of green icing.
For ornaments, pipe dots using different colors of icing or sprinkle on nonpareils or Sugar Pearls.
Finish the tree by adding a Gold Star Sprinkle on top.
