This adorable mini Gingerbread Village is the perfect fun family holiday project and we’ve made assembling the four houses so easy! The panels for each house are pre-baked together, with the pieces clearly marked to eliminate any guesswork as to what piece goes to which house.

  1. There are four houses included in the kit, one A-Frame House, one Slanted-Roof House, and two Classic Cottages. To separate the pieces for each house, use a paring knife to score the lines, then gently break them apart. Assemble using royal icing.
  2. A-Frame House: Attach one of the A panels (front) to the inside of one of the B panels (side wall/roof) toward the front with a line of icing.
  3. Attach the second A panel (back) to the opposite side of the attached B panel (side wall/roof) with a line of icing.
  4. Attach the second B panel (side wall/ roof) to both edges of the A panels with a line of icing at the edges.
  5. Pipe a line of icing at the roof peak, where the two B panels meet.
  6. Barn-Style House: Attach one of the A panels (short right side) to inside edge of the B panel (tall back) with a line of icing at the edges.
  7. Attach the second A panel (short left side) to the other inside edge of the B panel (tall back) with a line of icing at the edges.
  8. Attach the inside edges of the second B panel (tall front) to both sides of the assembled A panels’ ends, using lines of icing on the edges of the assembled A panels’ ends.
  9. Attach the three C panels (roof) with lines of icing on the A and B wall panel edges, placing the top roof piece first, followed by the two side (slanted) roof panels.
  10. Pipe a line of icing where each of the roof pieces meet.
  11. Classic Cottages: Attach one of the A panels (short right side) to the inside of the B panel (tall back side) with a line of icing.
  12. Attach the second A panel (short left side) to the inside of the assembled B panel (tall back side).
