Honey Whiskey Balls

Add a little spike to your Christmas cookies to get the holiday spirits. Although small in size, it packs a powerful kick of sweet honey and warm whiskey flavors. Make a big batch and save some for New Year's Eve!

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups crushed vanilla wafers

  • 1 cup finely chopped walnuts, toasted

  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 3 tablespoons honey

  • 1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons honey whiskey liqueur

  • 1 to 2 tablespoons water, if necessary

  1. In large bowl, combine wafer crumbs, walnuts, confectioners' sugar and salt. Stir to combine. Add honey and whiskey; stir to combine. If mixture looks dry, add water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until mixture holds together.
  2. Form dough into 1 in. balls and roll in desired coating. Store in airtight container if not serving immediately. Re-roll in coating before serving.
