Graduation Day Brownies

Celebrate commencement day with these cute Graduation Day Brownies. Ingredients

  • Your Favorite Brownie Recipe or Mix

  • Bright White Candy Melts Candy

  • Red Candy Melts Candy

  • Yellow Candy Melts Candy

  • Royal Blue Candy Melts Candy

  • Black Candy Melts Candy

  • Black Icing Color, 1 oz.

  • White Decorator Icing- Medium Consistency, 16 oz.

  • 15inch Parchment Triangles

  • Non-Stick Cooling Grid - 14.5 x 20-Inch - Cooling Rack

  • Decorator Preferred 9inch Angled Spatula

  • Decorating Bags, 16-Inch Disposable Piping Bags, 12-Count

  • Double Roll Parchment Paper

  • Double-Sided Round Cut-Outs Set, 6-Piece

  • 13 x 19-Inch Rectangular Cake Boards, 5-Piece

  • Round Cake Decorating Tip 12

  • Pencil

  • Warming tray

  • Covered Brownie Pan, 9 x 9-Inch

  1. Bake brownies. Prepare brownie batter following recipe instructions. Bake and cool.
  2. Make template. On back of parchment paper, trace 18 circles using “E” cut-out. Also draw ¾ in. diamonds for hats. Place parchment paper right side up on cake board.
  3. Melt candy. Melt yellow, black, red white and blue candy, separately, according to package instructions. Prepare five parchment bags separately with melted candy. Keep candy warm in warming tray.
  4. Pipe faces. Using melted yellow candy, follow template to pipe circles. Using melted black candy, follow template to pipe diamonds. Chill until set, about 10 to 20 minutes.

    Using melted black candy, pipe line on top third of circle for base of cap. Place diamond on top of line to form cap.

    Using remaining black, red white and blue candy, pipe facial features on yellow circles. Chill until set, about 10 to 15 minutes. Reserve red candy for later step.

  5. Tint icing Set aside 1/3 cup icing for later use. Using Black icing color, tint remaining icing black.

    Prepare decorating bag with tip 12 and reserved white icing.

  6. Decorate brownies. Using spatula and black icing, ice brownies. Cut into 18 squares, measuring 2 in. x 2 in. in size.

    Turn each brownie so it resembles a diamond shape. Place candy face in top corner. Using decorating bag with tip 12, pipe line to form diploma, about 1 in. long. Using remaining melted red candy, pipe string on each diploma.
