How Jaw-some is this cake?! Made using the Wilton Wonder Mold Pan, this Big Bruce Shark Cake is ready to take a bite out of your next birthday celebration! Great for decorators who are looking for some serious shock value, this shark cake can be made with just a handful of supplies and is sure to be a blockbuster at your next summer party!
Bake cake. Prepare cake batter following recipe instructions. Bake and cool cake in Wonder Mold pan.
Tint icing. Combine Delphinium Blue and Black icing colors to get dark grey color shown. Using color combination provided, tint 2 cups icing dark grey. Using Black icing color, tint ¼ cup icing black. Using Red-Red icing color, tint ¼ cup icing red and ¼ cup icing light red. Reserve remaining icing white.
Pipe mouth. Prepare decorating bag with red icing. Cut 1½ in. tip off end of bag. Pipe upside down crescent shape, forming inside of shark mouth. Smooth using tapered spatula.
Ice cake. Prepare decorating bag with white icing. Cut ¾ in. tip off end of bag. Pipe around outside of mouth, then bottom half of cake. Smooth with spatula.
Using spatula, ice remainder of cake with dark grey icing, carefully blending dark grey and white line.
Pipe teeth and gums. Prepare decorating bag with tip 3 and white icing. Pipe teeth. Smooth with spatula.
Prepare second decorating bag with light red icing. Cut ½ in. tip off end of bag. Pipe lines on top and bottom of mouth for gums.
Pipe eyes. Using wide end of tip 1A, mark circles for eyes in dark grey icing. If desired, remove icing from circle.
Prepare decorating bag with tip 1A and black icing. Pipe in eyes. Pat down with finger dipped in cornstarch.
Make nostrils. Using finger dipped in cornstarch, mark nostril holes.
