How to Make Variegated Color Buttercream
This technique creates an interesting marbled color, perfect for flowers like hydrangeas.
Prepare two to four colors of icing. Using a Straight Spatula, add dollops of icing to the decorating bag, alternating colors randomly.
Clean the spatula before switching to a new color. Be careful not to mix the colors too much in the bag, because this will cause the colors to blend instead of marble.
