In advance: Make cookies. Prepare and roll
out dough. For each treat, cut: one circle
using second largest metal cutter; and four
hearts (two of each size) using smallest and
second smallest plastic cutters. Bake and

pink, rose and red; reserve some white. For
circle, pipe tip 3 outline using full-strength
red icing; flow in with thinned light pink icing
. Immediately pipe tip 3 dots using
thinned white icing.
For heart wings, pipe tip
2 outline using full-strength red icing; flow
in with thinned red icing. Immediately pipe
tip 2 details using thinned rose icing. Let all
dry on waxed paper-covered boards. Use tip
1 to outline and fill in smallest hearts using
thinned light pink icing. Let dry.
Attach cookie wings to round base with
icing; leave a 3/4 in. wide gap in the center.
Tint fondant black. Roll and shape a 3/8 x
1 1/2 in. long rounded body. Roll 1 x 1/8 in.
diameter tapered ropes for antennae. Attach
