Make tombstones one day in advance. Knead 1/4 teaspoon Gum-Tex into 2 oz. fondant. Tint fondant gray. Use fondant roller with purple guide rings to roll out 1/8 in. thick. Use tombstone cutter from set to cut tombstones. Let dry overnight on a cornstarch-dusted cake board.
Use black edible color marker to print R.I.P. on tombstones.
Make cupcakes. Prepare batter following recipe directions. Tint 1/3 batter green and 2/3 batter orange.
Place two-tone insert in baking cup-lined muffin pan. Use a cut disposable decorating bag to fill center ring of insert 2/3 full with green batter. Decorate cupcakes. Prepare chocolate buttercream icing following recipe directions. Use tip 1M and icing to pipe a swirl on top of cupcakes. Insert tombstone. Position bones sprinkles.
