Perfect for classic borders or cloudlike decorations, dots are a versatile technique that can be piped in a range of sizes. The dot technique can be used as a simple border for cakes and cookies, as well as for icing cupcakes or piping meringues.

Characters or designs are often outlined first, then piped in with stars or zigzags. Outlines can also be used for facial features.

Add that special touch to your cake with your special someone´s name.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect cookie for my son's Frog/Toad Birthday party. His name is Todd, but we've called him "Toad" since he was hyperactive and always hopping and jumping around. I wrote "Hoppy Toad" on the front of each frog, rather than use the candy heart, as it was more masculine.
