Bake cupcakes. Prepare cake batter following recipe instructions. Bake and cool cupcakes in yellow cupcake liners.
Use Color Right base colors and QuickCount color formulas to tint icing in the following shades:
Navy Blue Icing: 3 cups white icing + 42B + 24P + 18BK + 22R
Yellow Icing: 5 cups white icing + 50Y + 3O
Using color combinations provided, tint 3 cups white icing Navy Blue and 5 cups white icing Yellow. Reserve remaining icing white.
Use Color Right base colors and QuickCount color formulas to tint fondant in the following shade:
Navy Blue Fondant: 4.4 oz. white fondant + 5B + 4R + 1P + 1BK
Using color combination provided, tint 4.4 oz. white fondant Navy Blue. Using 20 in. fondant roller with orange guide rings, roll out fondant. Using number cut-outs, cut out desired number combinations. Set fondant numbers aside on waxed paper-covered cake board.
Decorate number cupcakes. Using 16 in. decorating bag from Color Swirl kit, prepare decorating bag with tip 1M and yellow icing. Pipe 1M swirl on 12 cupcakes. Top with fondant numbers. Reserve remaining yellow icing.
Decorate Color Swirl cupcakes. Prepare decorating bags with Color Swirl couplers. Fill bags separately with navy blue, white and remaining yellow icing. Assemble coupler using star decorating tip 1M. Pipe 1M swirl on remaining cupcakes.
