Make fondant trims. For each cupcake, tint a 1/2 in. ball of fondant black, a 3/4 in. ball orange and a 1 in. ball red-red.
Roll out black fondant 1/16 in. thick. Use pattern and knife to cut out mouth; position on cupcake. Roll an orange ball, 3/4 in. dia. Shape into a cone for nose, 1/2 in. dia. at base x 1 1/8 in. high; attach. Roll a red ball, 1 in. dia. Shape into tongue, 1 in. wide x 1/4 in. thick x 1 in. long, with rounded front and straight back. Use tip 2 and white icing to pipe outline snowflake,
1/2 in. dia.
Melt red Candy Melts candy according to package directions. Use melted red candy in cut parchment bag to attach tongue to mouth; hold in position until set, 3 to 5 minutes.
