Prepare icing. Position oven rack 8 to 10 in. from top of oven. Preheat broiler.
Prepare meringue batter following recipe instructions.
Prepare decorating bag with tip 1M and meringue batter. Place cupcakes back in muffin pan. Pipe swirl on top of each cupcake. Broil 30 to 45 seconds, or until meringue is lightly toasted.
