Make fondant grill decorations. Tint 2 oz. red/brown for hot dogs, 1 3/4 oz. brown for burgers and 1/4 oz. yellow for cheese.
For the eight hot dogs, roll red/brown fondant into logs, 3/8 in. x 1 7/8 in. and curve slightly. Use black edible color marker to draw grill marks on one side.
For the three hamburgers, roll brown fondant into three balls, 3/4 in., flatten to 1 3/8 in. dia.
For the three slices of cheese, use fondant roller with pink guide rings to roll out yellow fondant 1/16 in. thick. Use fondant trimmer to cut into 1 in. squares. Use damp brush to attach cheese squares to burgers.
Make cupcakes. Prepare batter following recipe directions. Bake and cool cupcakes.
Decorate cupcakes. Prepare buttercream icing and chocolate buttercream icing following recipe directions. Tint buttercream icing gray, red and green; reserve some white. Tint chocolate buttercream icing bIack.
For grill cupcakes, use spatula and black icing to ice top of cupcakes smooth. Use tip 5 and gray icing to outline grill. Beginning in center, pipe grid lines 1/2 in. apart. Position two hot dogs or a cheeseburger.
For watermelon cupcakes, use red icing and spatula to ice top of cupcakes smooth. Use tip 10 and green icing to outline outer edge of cupcakes. Use tip 5 and white icing to pipe inner outline. Add mini chocolate chips on top.
