St. Nick's Snowflake Truffles

You don’t have to travel to the North Pole to indulge in these sweet treats. Wintery snowflake truffles feature a rich chocolate ganache hidden inside a patterned white vanilla shell, both made with Candy Melts® candy. To get the beautiful details of each snowflake, use a decorating brush to paint the melted candy into the embossed silicone treat mold first. Picture-perfect bite-size delights for holiday parties or gift-giving in Wilton® treat bags. You can tell everyone Santa left them.

Step 1

Prepare snowflake shell. Melt 10 oz. White Candy Melts candy according to package directions. Using decorating brush, paint snowflake cavities with melted candy, chill to set, about 5-10 minutes. Repeat until candy is about 3⁄16 inch thick to create a shell. Take a knife to level top of shell.

Step 2

Make chocolate ganache. Prepare ganache according to recipe directions. Chill mixture till cool, not firm, about 10 minutes.

Step 3

Fill snowflake shells with ganache. Prepare a decorating bag with chocolate ganache. Cut a small hole in tip of bag, pipe to fill shells leaving a 3⁄16 inch space at the top. Use remaining white melted candy to complete snowflake shells. Chill to set, about 5-10 minutes. Once firm, gently press bottom of cavities to release.
