Step 1

Preheat oven to 375ºF. In large bowl, cream shortening, butter and 1 1/2 cups sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, mix well. Sift dry ingredients together and add to the shortening mixture; mix well. Roll dough into balls the size of small walnuts. In small bowl, combine 1/4 cup sugar and cinnamon. Roll cookie dough balls in mixture. Place 2 inches apart on the ungreased cookie pan. Bake 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned, but still soft. Remove from pan to cooling grid; cool completely
