Make cookies. Prepare dough and press into pan cavities filling 2/3 full. Bake and cool following recipe directions.
Prepare royal icing. Tint portions red and black; reserve some white.
Outline and fill in cookies. Use tip 3 and full-strength white icing to outline snowman area. Use tip 3 and full-strength red icing to outline hat area.
Use thinned icing in cut decorating bag to pipe in areas using white for snowman area and red for hat area; let dry until set.
Make trims. Use tip 3 and full-strength black icing to pipe dot eyes and buttons.
Use tip 2 and full-strength black icing to pipe dot mouth and pull-out nose.
Use tip 3 and full-strength white icing to outline hatband.
