In small saucepan, heat 1/2 cup butter over medium high heat, 3-5 minutes, until butter smells nutty and browns. Remove from heat and let cool 10 minutes
In medium bowl, combine flour, almond flour, baking soda and salt. In large bowl, beat remaining 1/2 cup butter and sugars with electric mixer until light and fluffy. Beat in browned butter until combined. Add eggs, one at a time; mix well. Add vanilla. Add flour mixture to butter mixture; mix well. Stir in chopped chocolate. Using cookie scoop, drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie pan.
Bake 11-13 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Immediately sprinkle with flaky salt. Cool 3 minutes on pan; remove and cool completely on cooling grid.
