Salted Caramel Whoopie Pies Recipe

With just a hint of salt from the Salted Caramel flavor infused into this decadent whoopie pie recipe, every other delicious chocolately flavor is enhanced. Step 1

Preheat oven 325°F. Lightly spray Whoopie Pie Pan with vegetable pan spray.

Step 2

In medium bowl, stir together flour and baking powder.

Step 3

In large bowl, beat butter and brown sugar with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add egg and Salted Caramel Flavor; beat until well combined. Add flour mixture alternately with milk, beating well after each addition. Mix until just combined. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of batter into each cavity; sprinkle with sea salt if desired.

Step 4

Bake 12-14 minutes or until the tops of cakes spring back when touched. Cool cakes in pan on cooling grid 5 minutes. Remove from pan; cool completely on grid.

Step 5

For filling, beat butter in large bowl with electric mixer until creamy. Add confectioners? sugar and Salted Caramel Flavor; mix well. Spread about 2 tablespoons filling onto cake and sandwich with another.
