Create this magnificent rose - the most popular icing flower of them all. With practice, your roses will have the just-picked look of real fresh garden roses!

Make a simple, versatile leaf to add realistic details to flowers. Leaf tips can also be used to make simple flowers, such as sunflowers.

The ball shape makes bold borders and is the first step to learn for figure piping. Vary the basic look by adding stars, dots or spirals on the ball shapes.

Rose Garland Cake is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you can make roses, you can make this cake. It's very elegant and a showstopper, but basically, it's not difficult. Great for Valentine's Day (duh), but also engagement parties, anniversaries, wedding showers. You can write names or initials in the middle. I find it helpful to freeze the roses (in flower form) if you want to make them out of buttercream.
