Do you crush on cake? If you get heart eyes every time you spot a cake in the kitchen, this Heart Eye Emoji Cake will make your day. Made using Rosanna Pansino’s Ball Cake Pan, this round cake is great for showcasing your favorite emoji face…and since the cake bakes in a round pan, there’s no need to cut or carve the cake to fit the shape. Bake cake. Prepare cake batter following recipe instructions. Bake and cool cake according to pan directions.
Ice cake. Using Golden Yellow icing color, tint icing yellow. Assemble cake layers. Using spatula and yellow icing, ice cake smooth.
Helpful Hint: To better smooth cake, cut piece of acetate 1 ½ in. x 12 in. Place cake on turntable and use acetate to smooth and remove excess icing.
Tint and cut fondant. Use Brown and Red-Red icing color to get brown color shown. Tint white fondant brown using color combination provided. Using fondant roller with pink guide rings, roll out fondant. Using knife, cut out smile shape.
Using fondant roller with pink guide rings, roll out red fondant. Using smooth side of “C” heart cut-out, cut two hearts.
Decorate cake. Attach hearts as eyes to front of cake. Attach mouth.
