- Make donuts. Preheat the oven to 425°F and prepare donut pans with vegetable pan spray.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together buttermilk, eggs, melted butter, vanilla, vinegar and food coloring.
- Add wet ingredients to the flour mixture, mixing just until combined. Divide batter evenly into prepared pans.
- Bake for 7-9 minutes or until donuts spring back when lightly touched. Cool for 5 minutes in the pan, then remove to a cooling rack and cool completely.
- Make glaze. In a microwave safe bowl, microwave cream cheese at 50% power in 30 second intervals until cream cheese is slightly melted. Add powdered sugar and milk; whisk until smooth.
- Top cooled donuts with glaze.
