Raspberry Peach Granita Recipe


Capture fresh summer fruit flavor in an icy treat that is easy to make at home. Fresh, sweet raspberries get pureed and combined with fragrant Treatology Juicy Peach Flavor; club soda offers a bit of effervescence. Serve this pretty pink slushy any time you need a refresher on warmer weather.

Step 1

For simple syrup, combine water and sugar in medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low and simmer 5 minutes or until sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and transfer to glass bowl. Whisk in Fresh Peach Flavor; cool completely.

Step 2

In food processor, combine raspberries, water, sugar, lemon juice and salt. Puree until smooth. Pour mixture into 9 in. x 9 in. square pan. Whisk in club soda and 1/2 cup simple syrup.

Step 3

Freeze about 60 minutes or until frozen 1/4 in. around edges, about 60 minutes. Using a fork, scrape the granita to break up any frozen spots. Continue freezing, scraping granita every 30 minutes until fully frozen, about 2 hours total. Scoop flaked granita into serving dish and serve immediately.

**Store leftover simple syrup in refrigerator for up to 1 week**
