  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, cut into 1/2 in. slices
  • 3 ounces bittersweet baking chocolate, coarsely chopped
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Peanut Butter Layer

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Topping

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
