 Bake cupcakes in Stars & Stripes or Patriotic Themed Standard Baking Cups and cool completely on Cooling Grid.

Prepare Buttercream Icing recipe. Tint 1/3 of icing with Royal Blue Icing Color. Tint another 1/3 icing with Christmas Red Icing Color.

For fireworks, pipe a ring of fringe around rim of cupcake with blue icing and Multi-Opening Decorating Tip 233. Using same tip, pipe a concentric circle with white icing. Finish by piping red icing fringe in the center and inserting a 4th of July Party Pick.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I made these for the 4th of July this year they are super easy and so much fun was glad that I could use my grass tip for something besides grass I used the Wilton Buttercream icing recipe minus the milk so the icing would be stiffer and stand out more. Thank You Wilton for the wonderful ideas and recipes everyone loves my icing and I have you to thank for that.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The concept was very neat, which is why I was inclined to try it. However, I found it difficult for the frosting to stick out rather than flop down. Maybe if I added more confectioners sugar to stiffen up the icing it would've worked better. Overall it looked very cool though!
