With this set of 4 - 10 in. x 4 in. x 0.75 in. non-stick pans, you can make a four-layer cake with ease for a definite wow factor! One cake mix or a single batch of batter is enough to fill all four pans, and most ovens have the space to accommodate all four pans baking at once. Make an ombre cake, tinting the batter in four gradations of color, or a rainbow cake, using a different icing color to tint each layer. Bake a chocolate cake with different fillings separating the layers or mix different flavors into each layer for a taste sensation. Stack up a naked cake, one where the layering is the star because the exterior of the cake isn't iced. Or, create a classic torte filled with whipped cream, mousse or fruit. I like being able to make an oblong layer cake for some of my recipes instead of the usual round ones. I initially bought these to make a Spanish Bar cake similar to the ones that A&P sold many years ago. None of my local stores offer this cake so I made my own. But I am going to enjoy using them with other recipes. I was delighted when I found that you carry this size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Alternate Use- I bake a lot of Paximathia which is the Greek version of Biscotti. My shapes were never very good until I bought 2 sets of these pans. I measure about 13 oz of dough in each one and am always surprised to see how perfectly my Paximathia turn out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome pan I used pans this 4th of July weekend. I made my version of an atomic cake. I used cooking spray and parchment in the bottom of the first cake mix. It came out beautifully! I forgot to use parchment the next cake mix. I needed a spatula to remove it. Use parchment!! I love being able to have fillings between the layers! I am very happy with my pans and look forward to using them again! I did measure one cup of batter per pan. I baked them for 20 minutes like cupcakes. Perfect! Have fun buy the pans!

I've made two cakes since they arrived, one with regular layers ( I got 5 layers) , The second one I made a vertical layer cake using the pans over and over getting 12 layers, that made a beautiful show stopper of a cake! Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Presentation Used my new pans for the first time yesterday and love them. I had a cute cake that impressed everyone. They were completed surprised when they saw that it was a 4-layer cake upon cutting. I used strawberry jam between the layers on a yellow cake with chocolate frosting and it made a beautiful presentation with those small, thin layers. The directions said you could use a cake mix to make all 4 layers but I think you could probably make a fifth layer from a cake mix. Love these pans and believe I will have friends asking where I got them. The pans almost washed themselves they were so easy to clean. I did butter and flour the pans but they were still easier to clean than some cake pans.

They came out great and was the talk of the table. My thanks to reviewer Tony who advised to use only one cup of batter per was perfection!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Something different I'm a new baker and wanted to try making layered rainbow cookies for the holidays. I bought this set to try to do a smaller batch then using 3 entire full size baking sheets BC I have a small kitchen and again, was my first time trying out this recipe. They came out perfect! I used a standard recipe divided among 6 pans. And made two "cakes". My first attempt was alittle sloppy but still tastes great! I recommend lining the pans with sprayed parchment paper for super easy removal.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I made my first recipe today -- a carrot cake with three generous 9" layers. I divided the batter by weight equally into each pan -- about 1-1/2 cups per pan (395g). The batter overflowed all the pans. In the future, I will probably limit any recipe to about 1 cup of batter per pan. I cooked all four pans in the same oven. As advertised, all four fit on a single rack. Even though I rotated them once after 10 minutes (only requires 18-22 minutes total), the outer pans cooked very unevenly. I don't use a convection oven, so maybe that would solve the problem. For pretty layers, I will probably have to bake only two pans per oven.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Received my set the other day, and made a raisin/carrot cake today . I used the temperature setting on the box, but guessed at the time. Used the time for cupcakes. Baked perfectly. I did use parchment paper in each pan, and a bit of spray, and cakes came out quite easily, after cooling. I also have the small round cake pan set, but prefer this set for size and shape. I highly recommend this set.
