Baked Cake Donuts is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to Make cake Donut Recipe easy to follow. Didn't have buttermilk so used substitution of milk/lemon juice. Also, added more spices. To get batter in donut pan, I placed the batter in a squeeze bottle and squeezed it into the pan. Donuts turned out light when baked.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Taste like pancakes, not donuts. Very sticky batter; I used a piping bag to get the batter into the donut tray. They came out tasting like pancakes in donut shape, not donuts. Not sweet enough and a little rubbery.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Delicious! I made these today because I bought a mini and regular donut pan. They were delicious and easy to make. I was a tad stressed because the batter seemed more of a doughier substance- but I thinned it out with another egg, and some extra milk (I didn't have any buttermilk). I recommend adding some vanilla extract and only cooking for 6-7 minutes. I cooked for 8 and they were a little crunchy. But overall really yummy and delicious.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Delicious! This was a great pan and a good basic recipe. I put the batter in a ziplock bag and , after cutting of a corner, piped the batter neatly into the pan. No problem! We did the powdered sugar donuts.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Baked donuts I was very disappointed in this recipe. The recipe was more like a dough then batter so therefore hard to put in donut pan. There was little flavor even with the nutmeg. Certainly not what I expected but did love the donut pan!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Baked Donuts I was very disappointed in these donuts. I replaced the nutmeg with cinnamon. They were taseteless and dense and rubbery, a very tough donut. I was very disappointed for this recipe to have come from Wilton.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Sticky dough I tried this recipe but instead of a batter, it was a very sticky dough. Is that the way it's supposed to be? It was hard trying to put it into the bake sheet because of it's consistency. It seemed like it needed more liquid?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nothing Like the Fried Donuts There is no fault in the recipe. All baked well and its quite an easy recipe to follow. Didn't like the taste of it and didn't like the texture of it. Do not add nutmeg at lease don't use a full tea spoon as the recipe says. Its more like a cake.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Baked Cake Doughnuts I just made these doughnuts per the recipe and I am very disappointed. I know baked ones aren't going to be in taste or appearance as grand as the unhealthy ones, but I had hoped for a tasty alternative. Still wonder why nutmeg would be added, as have never seen before in doughnuts. Faint taste, but no positive addition by using it. My product results when cooked was heavy with little flavor. I added the chocolate icing per glaze, but nada to being any more tasty. I do love the Wilton doughnut pans though so a star added for that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hot Doughnuts! I wondered if buying a special donut pan was frivolous. Nope! These donuts were great! Easy, quick, and I am the best wife and Mom ever. And this is a money saver, store bought donuts are expensive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome recipe! This is probably the closest a cake donut can come to one you could get in a bakery! I got the donut pan for my 16th birthday slumber party and baked some for breakfast the morning after. Everyone at the party loved them (including me) and they look so gorgeous!
