Make fondant stakes. Use chocolate fondant to make a ball, 1 1/4 in. dia. Shape a tapered log
about 1 in. dia. at top, tapering to 3/4 in. Use knife to score woodgrain lines.
Use knife to cut a circle from center of each mini cake in the same diameter as fondant stake.
Position stake, supporting with melted candy. Let set, 3 to 5 minutes.
