Mom Rules Cupcakes
Let Mom knows how much she rules this Mother?s Day with these cookie-topped cupcakes. Cut out the message using the 101 Cookie Cutters Set.
Each treat serves 1
Make cookies two days in advance. Prepare cookie dough and roll out following recipe directions. Use cutters from set to cut out MOM RULES. Bake and cool cookies.
Decorate cookies. Prepare Color Flow icing following recipe directions. Tint portions rose, sky blue, orange and violet.
Use tip 3 in cut parchment bag and full-strength tinted icing to outline cookies. Use thinned tinted icing in cut parchment bags to flow in. Let dry 24 hours.
Use piping gel and brush to create swirls, dots, squares, lines and argyle. Sprinkle with colored sugars and attach Sugar Pearls.
Make cupcakes. Prepare batter following recipe directions. Bake and cool cupcakes.
Prepare buttercream icing following recipe directions. Use spatula and icing to ice tops of cupcakes smooth. Insert cookies on top of cupcakes, using extra icing behind cookies to prop up.
