Make map. Tint 3 oz. portions of fondant red, brown, blue, green and black. Tint 4 oz. of fondant ivory. Use 9 in. fondant roller with purple guide rings to roll out fondant colors, separately, about 1/8 in. thick. Use small end of veining tool from set to score woodgrain lines on fondant. Use pattern and fondant trimmer to cut two strips of black fondant and three strips each of other fondant colors in various widths following pattern. Use brush and piping gel to attach strips side by side on cake top.
For map border, roll a log of ivory fondant, 42 in. long x 1/8 in. dia. Use brush and piping gel to attach around map. Press log evenly against indented areas of map.
