Decorate cake. Prepare buttercream icing following
recipe directions. Tint portions black, orange and violet/rose
combination (for violet). Reserve some white.
Use toothpick to mark mouth and teeth areas. Use spatula
and black icing to ice mouth smooth. Use tip 3 and black
icing to outline mouth. Use tip 3 and white icing to outline
and pipe in teeth. Pat smooth with finger dipped in
cornstarch.
Use tip 2A and white icing to pipe a small and a large mound
for eyes. Pat smooth. Use tip 8 and black icing to pipe ball
pupils. Pat smooth. Use tip 16 and orange icing to cover head
and body with stars. Use tip 18 and violet icing to pipe pullout
star hair in random directions. Insert horns into hair. Use
tip 16 and orange icing to attach hands and feet to cake.
