Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very easy and GORGEOUS!!! A big hit on my holiday treat platter! Something odd about the instructions, though--they don't explain about adding the holly candies. (Step 4 seems to have missing instructions?) I put them on as the last step before the final chilling, and they came out great. Very, very pretty and festive. Another nice thing is that you can choose your favorite cake flavor--I made two different ones, chocolate and red velvet. I suggest that you line your jelly-roll pan with parchment, to make it easier to remove the cake from the pan after baking. One thing I've always wondered how to make is those pretty--and tasty--petits fours that have alternating layers of cake and filling, and I was sorry to see that these don't have that. But, that's not a flaw with this project, it's just something else I'd like to learn. Make these--you won't be sorry!
