Bake and cool 12 cupcakes and a 1-layer round
cake. Trim cake to 1 in. high. Use circle metal
cutter to cut out cake; ice smooth.
Use rotary cutter to cut edible paper strips as
follows; attach to cake with edible adhesive.
Cut white strip 1 in. x 9 1/4 in., attach to side. Cut
six strips each 1/2 in. x 1 in. in red and light pink;
attach side by side on white strip, leaving
1/2in. between each pair.
Cut two gingerbread boys from brown edible
paper using metal cutter. Attach shiny sides
together with melted candy; let set. Attach
two sticks to back with melted candy, leaving
1 in. extended at bottom to insert in cake. Pipe
tip 3 dot and outline details.
Cover cupcakes with tip 2A swirl. Position
sugar pearls; insert picks. Position cupcakes
