Ice Cream Cone Cake Torches
Start off your games viewing party with these Ice Cream Cone Cake Torches. Use the Cupcake Cone Baking Rack to bake your cake within the sugar cones, then decorate your cones with Color Mist food color spray and colorful icing made to look like flames.
Ingredients: Sugar cones (12 needed for 12 treats) Favorite cake mix or recipe (1½ cups batter needed) Gold Color Mist Food Color Spray (2 cans needed) Buttercream Icing Recipe (3 cups needed) Golden Yellow Icing Color Orange Icing Color* Red-Red Icing Color* Supplies: Cupcake Cone Baking Rack 10 in. x 15 in. Jelly Roll Pan Paper towels Disposable Decorating Bags ColorSwirl 3-Color Coupler Star Decorating Tip 1M Techniques:
*Combine orange and red-red icing colors to get dark orange color shown.
Bake and cool cone cakes.
Place baking rack on jelly roll pan. Fill rack with 12 sugar cones. Prepare cake batter. Add 2 tablespoons batter to each sugar cone. Bake for 15 minutes, let cool.
Color sugar cones.
Turn cones top side down onto cookie sheet lined with paper towels. Spray cones with two coats gold Color Mist food color spray, letting dry 5 minutes between coatings.
Prepare icing following recipe instructions. Tint one cup icing yellow, one cup orange and one cup dark orange following color combinations provided.
Place cones back in rack. Prepare ColorSwirl 3-Color Coupler with tinted icings and 1M tip. Pipe pull-out stars on top of each cone cake.
