Additional Information

Step 1

To Fill Before using, wash press in warm, soapy water. Dry thoroughly. Turn plunger rod and pull until center rod is all the way up. Unscrew ring at end of press. Select cookie disk and place in ring with smooth side out. Shape dough into a log and place inside press. Hold press upright with the bottom ring resting firmly against a cooled ungreased cookie sheet (parchment paper not recommended). Squeeze the trigger to form a cookie.

Step 2

To Use Repeat for remainder of dough in press, then refill. To change cookie designs, change disks. Before baking, add fun toppings like cherries, almonds or nonpareils. After baking, pipe with icing, dip in candy or crushed peanuts.

Step 3

To Clean Twist barrel off counter clockwise for easy cleaning. When twisting, be sure to grip the barrel and not the outer casing. Wash with warm, soap water and dry thoroughly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tricky but is Awesome when you figure it out! Okay. This press IS SUPER TRICKY!!! During my first attempt, I was dumbfounded how something so simple could be so hard to use. My theory is that someone was inspired by a caulking gun and tried to make cookies with it. It works very similar to a caulking gun. (Seriously.) So here are some tips from my use, as I just made about 100 super cute Christmas tree cookies with it. 1.) Do not use parchment paper or silicone mats. 2.) Make sure your baking sheet is clean and dry before pressing the dough down. (Clean it between each batch.) 3.) Try to squish out any air BEFORE placing the back of the gun on. The hardest part about using this is when the trigger is trying to advance the dough and there are air gaps causing inconsistent flow. 4.) Don't overtighten it when closing because it's too hard to unscrew when you need to add more dough. 5.) It can be anywhere from 2-8 trigger presses to get one cookie "pressed". Focus more on feeling the resistance and then add one more squeeze of the trigger and it should work fine. Hope that helps!! It's a super cool press once you figure it out.
