Step 1

Using a Tip 3 (or any small round tip), hold the bag with the tip pointing up towards the roof.

Step 2

Squeeze, and let the icing build up and start to pull the tip down slowly. Decrease pressure as you reach the desired length of the icicle.

Step 3

Stop squeezing and pull the tip away.

Step 4

Tips:

  • Icicles are a variation of the pull-out dot technique.
  • Add an extra-snowy look to some of your icicles by squeezing heavily and letting the icing build up before pulling the tip down.
  • For a realistic look, pipe icicles in varying lengths and thickness. Use a variety of round tips to create thin and thick icicles.
