How to Make Fondant Garland for a Gingerbread House
Add color and style to your gingerbread house with a fondant garland roof or garland accents on the side of your house.

  1. Roll fondant into a 1/8 in. (0.3 cm) to 1/4 in. (0.6 cm) thick log. Or use the Wilton Decorative Press set to create a log using the single circle insert.
  2. Using a tip 3 (or any small round tip), pipe a row of string garland on the gingerbread.
  3. Attach the garland, shaping as you go, and cut at the end. Repeat for additional rows.

Notes

    • Mark the garland area with icing dots an equal distance apart and match the garland points to the dots.
    • Pipe royal icing one row at a time so it won’t dry before the garland is attached.
    • Garland can be placed on the roof section before it is attached to the house, or after.
