How to Add a Center to Flowers

To add a realistic touch to icing flowers, use round or star tips to pipe flower centers.

    • Open Star Cake Decorating Tip 18

    • Standard Round Tip 8

    • 12-Inch Disposable Decorating Bags, 24-Count - 12-Inch Disposable Piping Bags

    • Standard Coupler

    1. Use either tip 2 or 8 to make dots, or tip 18 to pipe a star.
    2. Hold the bag vertically over the center of the flower.
    3. Squeeze until a dot or star builds.
    4. Stop squeezing before pulling tip away.
    5. For a different look, you can also create a cluster of dots and stars for the flower center.
