One to two days in advance: Make cookies.
Prepare and roll out dough. Cut circles
using largest cutter from set. Bake and cool
cookies. Use full-strength red icing to outline
cookies with tip 3; flow in with thinned icing. Let dry overnight on waxed papercovered
Use full-strength ivory
icing to pipe tip 2 outline border 1/4 in. from
outside edge. Let dry.
Also: Make fondant
snowflakes. Roll out fondant 1/8 in. thick. Cut
using second smallest cutter from set. Use
full-strength icing to pipe tip 2 lines. Let dry
on waxed paper-covered boards. Brush with
white Pearl Dust.
For hanger, roll out fondant 1/8 in. thick. Cut
1 x 2 in. rectangle. Trim slits in ends. Bend in
half and attach over top of cookie using icing
dots. Roll a 2 x 1/8 in. diameter log. Shape
into circle and attach using damp brush.
Paint with silver Pearl Dust. Attach
snowflake with icing dots. Let dry.
