A cookie butterfly is on the wing, spreading the news about her cupcake surprise! The chocolate cupcake actually has a green and rose center?it?s baked using our Two-Tone Cupcake Pan Set.

Step 1

Make and decorate cookies one day in advance. Prepare cookie dough following recipe directions. Use rolling pin to roll out 1/8 in. thick. Cut with butterfly cutter from set. Bake and cool cookies.

Prepare Color Flow icing following recipe directions. Tint portions rose, orange and yellow. Use tip 2 and full-strength rose icing to outline butterfly. Use thinned rose icing in a cut disposable bag to fill in butterfly; let dry overnight.

Use tip 2 and full-strength orange icing to pipe outline body. Use tip 2 and yellow icing to pipe outline wing details. Let dry 2 to 4 hours.

Step 2

Make cupcakes. Prepare white and chocolate batter following recipe directions. Tint 1/3 of white batter rose, yellow and green.

Place two-tone insert in baking-cup lined muffin pan. Use cut disposable decorating bags to fill center ring of insert 1/4 full with rose batter, 1/4 full with yellow batter and then 1/4 full with green batter. Use a cut disposable decorating bag to fill outer ring of insert 2/3 full with chocolate batter. Remove insert and repeat until all cavities are filled. Remove insert. Bake and cool cupcakes.

Step 3

Decorate cupcakes. Prepare buttercream icing following recipe directions. Tint yellow. Use tip 1M and yellow icing to pipe a swirl on top of cupcakes. Insert butterfly cookie. Position jumbo butterfly sprinkles.
