Step 1

Make herb butter. Mix softened butter with fresh thyme or dill.

Step 2

Make rye sandwiches. Using spatula, spread herb butter on rye breads. Top with sliced cucumbers.

Cut red bell pepper into large slices. Using flower cut-outs, cut large and small flowers. Arrange on sliced cucumbers.

Step 3

Make pumpernickel sandwiches. Using spatula, spread herb butter on pumpernickel breads. Using ribbon rose technique and sliced salmon, make ribbon roses. Top buttered bread with ribbon rose.

Garnish with fresh dill, baby arugula and additional red bell pepper flowers.
