Bake and cool Hello Kitty cake. Use tip 3 to outline bow
and pipe whiskers. Use tip 3 to outline and fill in eyes, nose and center of bow loops; pat smooth with finger dipped in cornstarch. Cover head and bow with tip 16 stars.
Position cake on prepared board. Stack body cookies with buttercream icing, position on board. Decorate body with tip 3 outline and tip 13 stars. Position arm cookie. Mark stripes and shirt details with toothpick. Outline using tip 3. Cover arm with tip 13 stars.
Position balloon cookie. Position licorice string between balloon and hand. Tint reserved white fondant rose; roll out 1/8 in. thick. Cut name using letters from set. Attach using damp brush.
The star tip creates the most celebrated, easily accomplished decorations! The serrated edges of the star tip make ridges in the icing as you squeeze it out. Because fill in requires so much piping from the same bag, keep replenishing icing in bag.
