Golden Yellow Cupcakes Recipe
The deep color of our Golden Yellow Cupcakes brings a warm feeling to any get-together. It?s a classic, no matter how it?s filled or iced.

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Set aside. Cream butter and sugar together until light. Add eggs and vanilla to creamed mixture and beat until thoroughly mixed. Add flour mixture to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beating well after each addition. Continue beating one minute. Pour into prepared pan. Bake 20-25 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Step 2
Cool 10 minutes in pan on rack; remove and cool completely before decorating.

This recipe leaves me perplex. I find the taste very mild, kind of bland even however my husband loves them and told me it?s a keeper. I made one change, I used about ¼ cup sour cream and only one cup of milk, I wanted a better chance for the cupcakes to be moist. They came out almost white, more like a vanilla cupcake than a yellow cupcake.
