Gingerbread Donuts Recipe


Fill your home with the sweet smell of Christmas with this Gingerbread Donuts recipe. Featuring the warm and delicious flavors of ginger, cinnamon, allspice and molasses, these donuts are a wonderful treat for Christmas morning. Step 1

Preheat oven to 375°F. Spray doughnut pan with vegetable pan spray.

Step 2

In large bowl, combine flour, sugar, ginger, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, baking soda and allspice. In medium bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vegetable oil and molasses. Add egg mixture to flour mixture; beat until just combined. Fill each donut cup approximately 2/3 full.

Step 3

Bake 9-12 minutes or until the tops of the doughnuts spring back when touched. Let cool in pan 4-5 minutes before removing.

Step 4

For glaze, in small bowl, whisk together confectioners’ sugar, milk and vanilla. Drizzle glaze over doughnuts and sprinkle with sprinkles, if using. Doughnuts are best served fresh.
